Quick mold change is also called SMED, the full name of which is Single Minute Exchange of Die. It is a technology that compresses the mold change time to less than ten minutes, which can greatly improve production efficiency. Quick mold change is a process optimization strategy that greatly reduces the time required for mold change, production startup and adjustment, and significantly improves the flexibility and efficiency of the equipment. The quick mold change system has three core systems.

1. Magnetic mold fixation system

The magnetic mold fixation system is used to fix the mold. In addition, the mold can also be clamped by mechanical rotation and hydraulic pressure plate. Mechanical rotation and pull mold change takes a long time and is not suitable for quick mold change; in contrast, hydraulic pressure plate technology is the most mature and widely used in various scenarios. The magnetic mold fixation system is very popular in recent years due to its convenience and adaptability. It is easy to quickly install on different types of injection molding machines.

2. Combination joint

The combination joint is also an important product to ensure quick mold change. It ensures that the wiring of quick film change is fast and correct.

3. Mold change trolley

The mold change trolley has two core functions: transferring new and old molds and preheating the molds. The mold changing trolley can be divided into one-station and two-station mold changing trolleys.
